Back Pain

This common ailment crosses all age groups, occupations and is common in both genders.  Almost everyone experiences back pain at some point during their lifetime. At Sandy Physical Therapy a thorough evaluation including a look at posture is performed.  Trunk mobility, hamstring flexibility, and abdominal strength are assessed.  Patients are taught proper rest positions and posturing to use throughout the day when sitting, standing or lying down.  Patients are also instructed in how to protect the spine when lifting and carrying items.  A strengthening, flexibility, and overall conditioning program is established with emphasis on patient education and prevention.
